FixChecker: Florida apartment exemptions now apply to condominiums
F.S. 633.202(18)(h)3 and (18)(h)4 exempt certain low-rise and wood-frame "apartments". Condominium buildings are normally classed as apartment occupancies, so the checker now applies both exemptions to condos, with a note to confirm with the fire marshal.

FixChecker: statutory exemptions are no longer overridden on unverified local pages
Where a city's own documents are not verified, the checker used to answer "test needed" even for homes and small buildings the statute exempts. A statewide exemption now settles the answer, because F.S. 633.202(18)(i) bars stricter local rules.
Methodology
FixMiami-Dade: elevator shaft rule completed
Elevator shafts are critical areas in buildings of six stories or more, and also in shorter buildings that lack signal outside the shaft (MDFR General Guidelines (D)). The page had only the first half.

NFPA 1225 and in-building radio systems
VerifiedSource notes for Florida, Jacksonville, Fort Lauderdale and Los Angeles
The proposed 9th edition text now cites the June 15, 2026 draft amendments. Jacksonville's only published copy is noted as third-party hosted and older than the 2020 statute amendments. Fort Lauderdale's Fire Prevention Bureau page was re-read in a browser. Los Angeles values are marked as based on Requirement #105 (2018). All statute links now point to the 2026 Florida Statutes.
